With a sordid past that involves illustration, libraries, and translation but doesn稚 bear speaking about, I致e managed to reinvent myself as an editor-slash-wordsmith who specializes in the liberal insertion of painful puns (and occasional alliterations) to any creative project. A love for stories is currently being satisfied by my working on the edges of the film industry, as I知 responsible for supplying subtitles and captions for the major Hollywood studios.
Like everyone who works with words, I have an embarrassing novel hidden in a drawer, but I知 less the writer and more the reader. While the column I知 writing for the DE Book Club may betray a weakness for the clever flexing of a writer within the constraints of a genre, I知 open to anything and prefer to graze through culture the way a cow chews its cud, which is to say I find it best digested twice. Everything deserves a second chance.
If you have suggestions for juicy reading material, send us a note. A story grows in the retelling, and I知 happy to keep any book alive if only to learn how to avoid the same seams and holes. Hosting duties for the DE podcast, after all, include hours of research and preparation to keep the expected professional polish, so tips and topic ideas are always welcome.
