Here you'll find every update from 2009. It was a busy year for The Dreamersedge, owing largely to the launch of the DE Podcast. In case you're wondering, that's why there are so many contributors.
2009-12-28 I apologise for the slight delay. I had planned a month-long "End of the Decade" special, but then I realised there's still twelve months to go no matter what MTV says, which means I'll be spending the next few weeks catching up. Anyway, here's an old AskMen.com article I've been meaning to post all year: AskMen.com: Dealing with Incompetent Bosses
2009-12-21 This week, I was going to rave about Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, which came out on DVD last Tuesday, but then I realised I hadn't answered the mail in a ridiculously long time, so I guess I'll just have to post the review at a later date: Mail from July and August 2009
2009-12-14 As most science-fiction geeks surely know, James Cameron's Avatar comes out this Friday. It's being released in 3-D, of course, like just about every other big-budget blockbuster these days, which leads us to this year's final Though of the Month, featuring Candice and the entire Go Space crew. Goofy red-blue 3-D glasses are required: Thought of the Month: December 2009 Also, I mentioned a few weeks back that I'd be posting a second article with every Thought of the Month to make up for the short read, so, to get you in the Christmas spirit, here's a piece I wrote on how to get back on your feet once your finances have gone to the pits, and, yes, I was being ironic with that bit about Christmas, thank you for asking, unless you didn't, in which case I don't really have anything to say about that, and, yes again, this is definitely a run-on sentence: AskMen.com: Seven-Step Financial Recovery Plan
2009-12-07 After three weeks leading the box office chart, New Moon finally dropped to number two, and I thought I'd write a review to celebrate the occasion. Now, I've got lots to say about this sequel to Catherine Hardwicke's suprise hit Twilight, but I'm saving it for the DVD release. In the meantime, here are my thoughts on the first instalment, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Rachelle Lefevre, and Billy Burke: Movie Review: Twilight
2009-11-30 Hey, everybody, it's Renaissance poet Philip Sydney's birthday! I bet that's a sentence you've never heard before. Anyway, to celebrate the fairly obscure occasion, this week's update features a brief piece on his classic love poem "With How Sad Steps, Oh Moon, Thou Climb'st the Skies". I know. The article is ridiculously short, but at least I did something to honour the author: Literary Capsule: Owner of a Broken Heart
2009-11-23 I'd planned a podcast on Twilight and teen movies, but the recording got corrupted, and scheduling a new session's been difficult since I changed cities. In fact, the DE Podcast is on hiatus until we figure out a way to produce shows remotely. In the meantime, here's an article about bouncing back from a layoff. Sorry for the inconvenience: AskMen.com: Unemployment Golden Time
2009-11-09 Halloween Month is over! I know it seems like I just posted one a few days ago, but it's time once again for another Go Space Though of the Month. This one's been waiting in the wings for a while now. I just never knew when to post the little cartoon, and it turns out I have an available spot in the schedule just this week: Thought of the Month: November 2009 As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'm going to be posting a second article with every Thought of the Month to make up for the short read. This bad boy is all about making sure your livelihood is protected during these difficult times: AskMen.com: Recession-Proof Your Job
2009-10-31 Happy Halloween! I'm updating a bit early this week to coincide with the holiday. In the conclusion to our podcast series on horror cinema, we discuss the last twenty years of gore: DE Podcast Episode 16: From Ghost Face to Jigsaw
2009-10-26 Halloween Month is still kicking! It's time for yet another Go Space Though of the Month as Scott settles an existential debate that's plagued horror fans since the invention of the monster mash: Thought of the Month: October 2009 Some have pointed out the Go Space monthly reflections make for too short a read as full updates, especially now that the website's gone back to a weekly schedule. You're absolutely right, of course, so I'm going to start posting a second article with every Thought of the Month. It's a temporary solution. In the meantime, Halloween is a time for scary stories, and what could be more terrifying than losing your job: AskMen.com: Signs You're about to Be Laid Off
2009-10-19 Halloween Month continues, as does our podcast series on horror cinema. In this episode, we discuss slashers, directors from the eighties, feminism, Italian scary movies, and unnecessary sequels: DE Podcast Episode 15: From Michael to Michael Also, because I like to plug it every year, here's an essay I posted a while back on why we love monsters and scary movies: Monsters: From Our Hearts to the Screen
2009-10-12 Halloween Month continues! Michael Dougherty's Trick 'r Treat came out on DVD last Tuesday, and what better movie is there for me to review this month? The Halloween-themed horror anthology stars Dylan Baker, Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, and newcomer Samm Todd: Movie Review: Trick 'r Treat
2009-10-05 Halloween Month begins! Every DE Podcast this month will be dedicated to the history of horror cinema. In this episode, guest panelist Dennis P. returns to talk about the early years of gore: DE Podcast Episode 14: From Nosferatu to Zombies
2009-09-29 Couch Potato Month concludes! Television sensation Selena Gomez launches her singing career with The Scene tomorrow as their album Kiss and Tell hits stores, so I thought I'd take a look at her first starring role in Another Cinderella Story, also featuring Drew Seeley, Jane Lynch, Jessica Parker Kennedy, and Marcus T. Paulk: Movie Review: Another Cinderella Story
2009-09-22 Couch Potato Month gets thoughtful! Season 2 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles came out on DVD today. To celebrate the occasion, here's a Go Space Thought of the Month, feauring Josh: Thought of the Month: September 2009
2009-09-18 Couch Potato Month continues with its final podcast episode! Hey, the website made it to one hundred articles! Anyway, here's the conclusion to our six-part audio series on the fall television schedule: DE Podcast Episode 13: Couch Potato Weekend

2009-09-01 Couch Potato Month continues with a special Tuesday update! Continuing our exploration of the fall television schedule, P-O, Kazim, and I discuss the Tuesday grid: DE Podcast Episode 9: Couch Potato Tuesday
2009-08-31 It's just one special theme after the other here as Couch Potato Month begins! All week, P-O, Kazim, and I will be looking at the fall television schedule, updating the site daily. Let's get started with the Monday grid: DE Podcast Episode 8: Couch Potato Monday
2009-08-28 Blast from the Past Month concludes! Couch Potato Month starts next week, so let's wrap up this event with a big whopping list of old articles from the website's inaugural year: Blast from the Past: 2005 Archive
2009-08-24 Blast from the Past Month strikes again! Kazim and I follow up our eighties podcast with a nineties special in which we discuss what defined the decade, what we liked about it, and, more importantly, what we hated: DE Podcast Episode 7: The Nineties Strike No One
2009-08-21 Our two-parter concludes but Blast from the Past Month keeps going! I answered the survey. Now it's time to calculate my Mindless Midnight Originality and make sarcastic comments: Blast from the Past: Mindless Midnight Score

2009-08-07 Blast from the Past Month continues! As you know, I have a backlog of AskMen.com pieces, so here's one I should've posted back in March, as you'll see from the no-longer-topical reference in the fourth paragraph: AskMen.com: Taking a Salary Cut
2009-08-03 Blast from the Past Month begins... Late! I apologize for the slight delay. I've had some computer problems. Anyway, here's my review of Zack Snyder's Watchmen, starring Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Healey, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson. I've decided to make it part of Blast from the Past Month on the tenious basis that the story takes place in an alternate 1985. Also, the DVD came out a few weeks ago, so I should've posted the article then: Movie Review: Watchmen
2009-07-31 Blast from the Past Month will begin in just a few days. As we'll be expanding on some of my past musings with brand new material, I thought now would be a good time to revesit the site's older articles. Here's an archive collecting every update from last year: Blast from the Past Prelude: 2008 Archive

2009-07-20 I had hoped to post a review of Zack Snyder's lacklustre Watchmen adaptation to commemorate its DVD release tomorrow, but I've just been incredibly busy of late.
